Cars!

Tanek loves his cars - big, little, noisy, quiet - it doesn't matter, as long as they have wheels! I came into the living room today to find him lining his cars up side by side. He can be such a funny boy sometimes!

Our Handsome Boy!

I think Tanek looks so cute in this outfit with his hat on! Ricky thinks it's too girlie, but I love it!
Of course, I think he looks cute in anything he's wearing. Getting the hang of hunting for those eggs.

Hey, shouldn't there be something in this egg? Pick 'em up, throw 'em down...pick 'em up, throw 'em down...
Tanek would rather dump the eggs and wear the bucket!

Tanek with his Uncle Richard.

Beautiful Girls!

Here are all of my brother Richard's girls. Aren't they pretty? Heather, Kirsten, Hannah, and Emily! I'm glad we got to visit with them this past week. Richard and Heather are such good parents - they are good role models for Ricky and I!
Emily saw the camera and struck a pose!

Emily decided her bucket would make a good seat....

but then she got stuck in it! Hannah actually posed for me with her very full bucket of eggs!
Sweet Hannah!

Kirsten's pretty smile!

Getting ready to throw eggs at her Daddy and Uncle Ricky!

Coloring Easter Eggs

This was Tanek's first year coloring Easter eggs. I can't really say that he enjoyed it as much as Mom and I did - he mostly wanted to throw them across the table, but we had fun anyway!

Easter at the Heath's

We went to Ricky's parent's house on Saturday for Easter dinner. Tanek had a good time being the center of attention. We had an Easter egg hunt especially for him, too. Here he is with PawPaw and Mimi. Tanek and Mimi.

Tanek swinging around with his Aunt Kelly.

Before we came home, we all went to the Stephen Foster Memorial and walked down to see the Suwannee River. It's very pretty and peaceful there. It's been such a long time since I've been, I didn't even remember what it was like! Tanek had a good time running all over the pavillion, which was decorated for a wedding later in the afternoon. Amazingly, he didn't bother any of the decorations, though!

Happy Easter! Happy Nauryz!

Here is all of my family (except for Heather because she was taking the pictures) - Stephanie, Ricky, Tanek, Emily, Kirsten, Richard, Hannah, Mom, and Dad - on Easter Sunday!

Our little family of three!

Tanek is such a happy boy.

Tanek giving his Daddy a "lip kiss".
An Easter picture with my Mom and Dad. I sure do wish Dad would shave his face (hint, hint)!

I also have to say Happy Nauryz, because in Kazakhstan they are celebrating their New Year today!

Family Visit

Tanek had fun this week with his cousins - Kirsten, Hannah, and Emily, and his Aunt Heather and Uncle Richard. It is so cute the way he says Hannah's name. He pronounces it "Honnah" ('o' as in 'hot'). Emily is "Emi", but we're still working on Kirsten's name.

Tanek got to visit Silver Springs twice this week. All of us were supposed to go this past Sunday, but Hannah was sick and couldn't go, so Nana stayed home with her. On Friday, Hannah had a special day at Silver Springs with just Nana and her Mom, but she let Tanek and I come along, too. Tanek had his first taste of "dipping dots" while we were there. He wasn't impressed, though, since he kept spitting them out! What kid doesn't like ice cream?

Tanek and Hannah were both sacked out on the ride home!

Aunt Heather also picked out Tanek's first pair of Nike sneakers earlier this week. I have to say that he does look pretty snazzy in them! She took some pictures and posted them on her blog http://timelessandtreasured.com. Heather takes really good pictures, so you should check out her site.
